With the impending arrival of Spring, everyone starts preparing for it. The Chinese, Japanese and Koreans preparing for the Lunar New Year marking the start of Spring... and the fashion gurus strutting their designer magic on the runways all over Paris, Milan, London and New York long before Spring.
For those of us who aren't lucky enough to snag an invite to New York Fashion Week for the Spring 2013 collection, it appears we have to resort to the internet for our fashionspirations (fashion inspirations) and styles to note.
Like what my title says, Monochrome IS BACK. Throughout New York's Spring 2013, I've seen multiple designers showing off the monochrome look all over the runways from Calvin Klein to Marc Jacobs.

While monochrome is back to stay for Spring 2013, it doesn't mean we have the right to go traipsing about looking like a penguin. Along with Monochrome coordinates come a sleek, clean, chic look to them, from stripes and lines to more elaborate prints and designs.
I personally love the monochrome look. It's clean, it's defined and its chic when worn right (Somewhat like a penguin if done wrongly), but another point us fashion lovers should note would be the accessorizing in the above monochrome coordinates (or lack thereof).
The designers all appear to be working the monochrome looks with minimal accessories, which then brings out the patterns, structure and design of their outfits when all attention is focused on the contrast between white and black. This usage of minimal accessories is definitely what all fashion lovers should take note of when pulling off the monochrome look.
Nonetheless, I love how this look gives an air of sophistication to a girl and this is definitely a look I will be trying come spring.
