USA2012: San Francisco - Fisherman's Wharf (Part 7)
Here's the more touristy part of San Francisco. You HAVE to take pictures at these places if you ever travel to San Francisco because these locations are what this city is famous for.
We started off with a ferry ride at Fisherman's Wharf. They provide you headsets so you can learn about the history of various iconic locations in San Francisco that can be seen from the ferry. Personally, I think you CAN read up about all these on your own, but the ferry does bring you to the Golden Gate Bridge where you can take one of a kind pictures with it because it's probably the only way you can get that close to the bridge (excluding driving on it, but you can't take pictures while driving anyway...).
#TravelerTip: The ferry ride is optional. Unless you're with a tour, you'd probably be bored out of your mind while the rest are on the ferry. Either way, I'd say take the ride to take close up pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.
If there's one kind of food San Francisco is known for, it's definitely their Clam Chowder by Fisherman's Wharf. With that, we went for lunch in a restaurant nearby to have.... Clam Chowder. Duh. Did you expect anything else?
#TravelerTip: Have a bowl of Clam Chowder when you're at Fisherman's Wharf. It's so delicious your canned ones start tasting like crap.
